I’m building a new website for a client when an email pops into my inbox asking me if I can “take on new customers”.

It’s from someone that I’ve never done business with before. I’ve never talked to this person. I’ve never even heard of this person. But for some reason he’s emailing me asking me to contact him.

The Email

Subject: quick question about Kurtis Lavoie : Graphic Designer

Hi, hope you’re well.

I was wondering if you guys could take on some extra customers.  I’d like to talk with you when you have a little time.

If you’re the right person my contact information is below.  If not who do you recommend I talk to?

Thanks much!

Here’s to your business!

The Voicemail

Within 30 seconds of reading the email, I receive a voicemail from this person (my phone never even rang) asking me to give him a call because he’d like to see if I can “take on some extra customers”.
